This lure has a big profile thats great for working the shallows in the 2-4' range.  Striped bass fisherman have had great success working this bait slowly on the surface as a wake bait also.  Like the smaller versions the bait has a very distinct head shake action when cranked at slow to medium retrieves.  Hand carved impressions in the head area project a very natural baitfish profile that will fool the wariest of predators.

Following the success of the standard 3 hook models a swimbait version was added for even more realism.  The jointed action combined with the tantalizing teaser paddle tail is ideal for working heavy cover like shallow timber,deadheads and thick cabbage beds.   Lure performs best with slow to medium retrieves that will bring it down into the 1-3' range.  Jerk and pause retrieve creates a most distressed action when working this bait.  The Twitch Darter-SB will add a new dimension to your shallow water fishing.

Heres a great bait for working the edges of weed beds,  points off islands and rocky shoals.   On a straight retrieve the lure will dive 5-8' and trolling will bring it down 10-12'.   The flat sides and special weight placement gives lure a nice back and forth wobble and unique shimmy action when allowed to rise.   This is a powerful trigger that signals distress to any predator fish in the vicinity.   Many trophy size muskie and pike have been caught over the years on this beautifully crafted lure.
